AFROTC

Today is Memorial Day. A day set aside to remember all the soldiers who have died for our freedom. May we never take our freedom for granted.

On a much lesser note, this time of the year is also a personal anniversary of sorts.

A year ago, on Memorial Day weekend, I finally made a decision. I decided to pursue my childhood dream of joining the U.S. Military. The path I chose to take is Air Force ROTC (AFROTC). I'll begin my time as an AF cadet this fall. I know the journey to becoming an Air Force officer will have ups and downs. I know it will not be easy. I am very thankful for my supportive family and friends and I know that most importantly, God will never leave or forsake me.

"If we maintain our faith in God, love of freedom, and superior global air power, the future [of the US] looks good." ~General Curtis Lemay

  1. Ma God bless you with wisdom and grace as you pursue the new adventure with Him. Are you actually going to be joining the Air Force, or just ROTC? I will keep you in my prayers.

    1. If all goes well, after four years in ROTC, I will be commissioned as an Air Force officer...so yes, actually joining the Air Force :). Thank you so much for keeping me in your prayers! I really appreciate it.
